Jeff Margolis
Chairman and Founder, The TriZetto Group
Jeff Margolis, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Widely recognized as a visionary in the application of innovative technology to the complex and rapidly changing healthcare industry, Jeff Margolis founded The TriZetto Group, Inc. in 1997. He has more than 19 years of experience architecting and managing information technology and services for some of the nation's largest and most innovative healthcare organizations. He is the former senior vice president and chief information officer of FHP International Corp., a $4 billion healthcare company that operated health plans, multi-specialty physician clinics and hospitals, serving more than 2 million members and patients. Margolis was named an “up and comer” by Modern Healthcare magazine and is the former chairman of the Managed Care Executive Group. In 2002, he was named Ernst & Young's Technology Entrepreneur of the Year for Orange County, California. A certified public accountant, Margolis holds certificates in Colorado and Illinois. He received his bachelor's degree with high honors in business administration/ management information systems from the University of Illinois.

Trace Devanny

Trace Devanny, Chief Executive OfficerTrace Devanny is the chief executive officer of TriZetto and leads overall operations and corporate functions for the company. Devanny brings to TriZetto 20 years of executive-leadership experience in the healthcare industry, having held senior management roles in software, technology and healthcare informatics, with an emphasis on global growth.

Prior to joining TriZetto, Devanny was president of Cerner Corp., a global provider of healthcare solutions. As president, he oversaw the company’s operations in more than 25 countries on six continents. Over the last 10 years he led Cerner’s five-fold expansion in revenue as well as the creation of Cerner’s global presence and brand. Earlier in his career, Devanny was president and chief operating officer of ADAC Health Care Information Systems, and held a series of executive positions with IBM, including leading IBM’s healthcare business in the Mid-Atlantic region. Devanny holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of the South (Sewanee).

Mark Ganz

Mark Ganz, President and CEO, Regence BlueCross BlueShield Mark Ganz is President and Chief Executive Officer of Regence BlueCross BlueShield, a regional not-for-profit health and life insurance company based in Portland. Regence serves approximately three million people in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Utah.

Mark joined Regence in 1992, and has served the company in various roles including Chief Operating Officer, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer. He also served as President of Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon, one of the company's major subsidiaries and the largest health-care insurer in the state.

He has participated in the region's ever-evolving health care community his entire life, and health care has become his personal and professional cause. The son of a Spokane, Washington physician, Mark spent many childhood afternoons at his father's family practice learning the importance of service, community and family. These values are the foundation of his efforts to transform Regence to a consumer-focused company, and the catalyst for his commitment to reduce the complexity of our country's flawed health care system.

His passion for service excellence is the cornerstone of his marketplace vision for The Regence Group. Achieving this goal means staying true to the company's community-based roots and making it possible for people to help each other when they need care.

Mark has successfully transferred this dedication to serving others to an extraordinary record of community service. He is a member of the board of directors of Portland General Electric Inc., U.S. Bank-Oregon Advisory Board, Oregon Business Council (also executive committee member), the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, America's Health Insurance Plans, University of Portland Board of Regents (vice-chair), Catholic Charities (chair, capital campaign), Boy Scouts of America-Cascade Pacific Council, and JELD-WEN Tradition Foundation. He also chairs the Aspen Institute Health Stewardship Project and Greenlight Greater Portland, a regional economic development corporation.

Mark earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. While an undergraduate, he was a member of the staff of U.S. Senator Henry M. "Scoop" Jackson (D-Wash).

Vicky Gregg
President and CEO, BCBS Tennessee
Vicki Gregg, President and CEO, BCBS Tennessee Vicky Gregg is the president and chief executive officer of Chattanooga-based BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee--the largest health care provider in the state, with more than $16 billion in claims paid annually. Prior to becoming CEO, Mrs. Gregg occupied several senior leadership positions in the company, including president and chief operating officer, executive vice president, and chief executive officer of Volunteer State Health Plan, the company's Medicaid HMO. Before joining BCBST, Mrs. Gregg worked for a national, publicly traded health plan where, as market vice president, she oversaw operations, strategic development, acquisition, and health plan service area expansion. A nurse by education, Mrs. Gregg has over 25 years of experience in diverse health care environments including clinical care, hospital administration, long term care, and healthcare benefits and financing.

Former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-TN) appointed Mrs. Gregg to the United States National Institutes of Health Commission on Systemic Interoperability in 2004, which was tasked with developing a strategy for building a nationwide electronic health records network. In 2006, Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen appointed Mrs. Gregg to the newly-created E-health Advisory Council, a 16-member panel tasked with making recommendations on how to establish an interoperable heath care data exchange in Tennessee. Mrs. Gregg also currently serves on several national boards, including America's Health Insurance Plans, the BlueCross BlueShield Association, the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare, the National Institute for Health Care Management Foundation, and the Healthcare Leadership Council. She has received numerous awards and recognitions including Modern Healthcare Top 25 Women in Healthcare, Health Ethics Fellow of the Trust, Vanderbilt School of Nursing Honorary Alumni Award, and Business Tennessee Most Powerful.

Prior to joining Apax Partners, Buddy was a Partner at Saunders Karp & Megrue, where he specialized in investments in healthcare and business services. Before joining Saunders Karp & Megrue, Buddy was an Associate at DLJ Merchant Banking Partners where he focused on healthcare services as well as the industrial and engineered chemical sectors. Prior to that, he was an Analyst in the High Yield Group of Kidder, Peabody & Co. where he specialized in public and private debt financings and recapitalizations.

Buddy received an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and a BA in Political Science from Yale University.

Bill Sullivan, Partner, Apax Partners Bill Sullivan has been a partner of Apax Partners since February 2007. He has more than 21 years experience in the healthcare financing industry. Prior to joining Apax Partners, Sullivan was chief executive officer of Magnacare Holdings, Inc., an Apax portfolio company. He remains chairman of Magnacare, a health plan management company operating as a preferred provider organization and a health plan administrative company with a workers' compensation business division. Magnacare serves more than 600,000 lives in the metropolitan New York market. Sullivan also spent 13 years at Oxford Health Plans, where he held numerous positions, including vice president of sales and executive vice president of sales and marketing. From July 1995 to December 1999, he was president of Oxford Health Plans. Sullivan sits on the board of directors of Spectrum Laboratory Network, an Apax portfolio company and clinical laboratory business operating in multiple states in the mid-Atlantic and southeastern United States. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in finance and banking from Suffolk University in Boston.
